Manitoban pääkaupunki Winnipeg on kaukana kaikesta - meidän junamatkamme tänne Torontosta kesti noin 40 tuntia. Junan piti lähteä klo 22, mutta se oli reilusti myöhässä (mikä on ilmeisesti kovin tavallista matkustajajunille, kun rahtijunilla on etuajo-oikeus) ja pääsimme liikkeelle vasta klo 2 tienoilla aamuyöstä. Meillä ei toki ollut makuuvaunuja, kun ne ovat niin hemmetin kalliita, joten pari yötä meni nukkuessa jotenkuten istuimilla. Kirjoitan myöhemmin erillisen postauksen junamatkustamisesta Kanadassa, sen verran paljon siitä on kerrottavaa! Kuten edellisessä postauksessa mainitsinkin, Torontosta eteenpäin saammekin nauttia junailun huumasta koko rahan edestä - matka Winnipegiin kun kestää rapeat 36 tuntia. Lepuutamme junassa puutuneita takamuksiamme muutaman päivän ajan Manitoban pääkaupungissa Winnipegissä, jonka nimen jääkiekkofanit tunnistanevat NHL-liigasta. Mehän emme lukeudu lätkäfanien joukkoon, mutta kaupunkia kehutaan yllättävän kiinnostavaksi metropoliksi keskellä preeriaa.
